The City of Nowata is proud to host this year’s July 4th Thursday in the Park Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks Show at Gordon Park (South).
This year’s Thursday Day in the Park will include daytime Independence Day celebrations including hot meals to-go that benefits the Nowata Fire Department, games, Sno Cones, DJ Coach Johnson serving up live music, a live performance of the National Anthem by the Nowata Community Choir and a live auction by Keller-Williams Realty.
We will conclude our event with a fireworks show starting at dark.
Bring your lawn games and lawn chairs.
A few rules about our community event: Gordon Park is Smoke-Free, Alcohol Prohibited, No Open Flame. SMALL FIREWORKS ONLY in designated area (concrete pad).
Event Schedule:
12:00 pm – 3:00 pm : Hot Meals To-Go by the Nowata Fire Department – Catfish Plate – $10 per plate
4:00 pm – ??? : Hot Meals To-Go by the Nowata Fire Department – Pulled Pork Plate – $8 per plate
5:00 pm : DJ Coach Johnson goes lives thanks to RWE / Keller-Williams Live Auction Starts
7:00 pm : Free watermelon provided by the Nowata Area Chamber of Commerce
Dark : Fireworks show begins, which is provided by the City of Nowata, the Harmon Foundation, and the Richardson Foundation
