The 2026 schedule for the Regular Meetings of the Nowata City Commissioners is now available for citizens.
All Nowata City Commissioner meetings are held at the Nowata Fire Department, 425 South Cedar Street, and start at 6:00 pm.
The 2026 schedule released below are for Regular Meetings of the Nowata City Commissioners only, if the City Commissioners have to hold a Special Meeting, citizens will be alerted through required meeting postings at City Hall, the NowataOK.gov website, city social media channels, and area media partners.
Citizens will also be alerted regarding any changes to day, time, and/or venue of a Regular Meeting.

About the City of Nowata's Government Structure
The City of Nowata has a City Commission that has 5 elected City Commissioners, with 4 serving a designated ward and the 5th commissioner serving as an "at-large" commissioner without a defined ward.
The Mayor of Nowata is an elected City Commissioner which was then selected by their fellow commissioners to serve as the City's mayor.
The day-to-day operations of the City of Nowata are ran by the City Manager.
