Effective immediately on Wednesday, August 12th, 2026, the City of Nowata is under a burn ban.
During this burn ban, there is to be no outside burning.
The City of Nowata and the Nowata Fire Department will advise citizens when the burn ban is lifted.
Updates on the status of the active burn ban will be posted on social media, the city's website, and the free MyNowata Community Alert System.
